Choosing between indoor fountains to suit your purposes can be a fun but slightly challenging task depending on the environment that you want to create and that you want the fountain to be a part of (rather than dominating or alienated from). Water fountains have their own special energies that can either work in synergy with the decor of your room or create a great deal of friction that actually ruins the ambiance of a room extremely quickly. Choosing wisely in the beginning can save you a significant amount of trouble, and money, too.

The great part about indoor fountains is how extremely inexpensive they are compared to in years past. The prices vary greatly depending on whether you seek a tiny tabletop fountain or a fountain big enough to set into the floor, but either way it is possible to get a fountain for only a few hundred dollars, or even much less than that! Many tabletop fountains sell for less than $20 or $30.

Determining which fountain works best for you is a fairly simple process. First of all, deciding between a home and an office is important to eliminate various styles. If you are putting the fountain in your home you probably want to consider either a tabletop model or a classy wall mounted version. Businesses, on the other hand, are probably going to lean toward a floor mounted fountain rather than a tabletop fountain or six (although they are great for cubicles and offices in the back, they are not the best choice for the lobby if there is still room to put a real fountain in). If you are interested in feng shui fountains with mirrors or colors may be worth investing in, but it is important to note that they do not need to seem oriental, only match your total decor.
